Overflow and Sluice

An small overflow weir on the Erewash canal flows drops into a small water course just as that enters a culvert to pass under the canal. A couple of days after this was taken the area was surrounded by temporary fencing, and the water full of pumps and pipes for maintenance work. The canal and towpath were shut-off too. Update: a couple of years later this got a "make-over" http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2445107
