New Line Reservoir Picnic Area

The reservoir was originally built in 1853 to supply local mills with water. In 1985 it formed part of Rossendale Council's Greenways Scheme to provide areas of public amenity. It sits at the side of the A6066 main road to Rochdale near Britannia.
