Staithe Road can be seen in the foreground. The bungalow beyond the junction is located on The Street. The Green is bordered by The Street (west), Staithe Road (south) and Common Road (east). Houses adjoin in the north. Barton Turf is a small Broadland village with its own staithe and boatyard, giving direct access to Barton Broad. There is no shop, pub or post office and the village church, dedicated to St Michael and All Angels > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/308272 is located more than one kilometre distant from the village.
