It is hard to believe that, between 36 and 2 hours ago, the whole of Bournemouth had a white look thanks to the heaviest snowfall to hit the town for many years. Two short hours later, the snow had turned into sleet and hail and, then, rain and now only in the most sheltered spots was there any sign that the weather had been unusual. The last of the whiteness was around 2pm; this was taken about an hour later. At around 4:30 a heavy hailstorm whitened everything again but that was shortlived and when I left the office at 5:30 I did so into a dark soggy gloom rather than a dark white one!
