The cafeteria looked very smart and had evidently had a recent make-over. But this was the day of a heavy snowfall. The motorway was running smoothly, there was only a sprinkling of snow in this part of Wiltshire, but the London area was so blocked up that traffic was greatly reduced. So even in the late morning there were few customers.
