The eastern section of Privet Road has been a one-way for many years, no doubt owing to its restricted width and lack of pavements. The one-way signs are affixed to each lamppost and these three, with the lampposts on the same side, lead the eye down the road past the new frontages built on the site of what was the Sovereign snooker club till the very early 2000s.
