Silverton: riders by the entrance to Land Farm

Land Farm is the home of the Exe Valley Brewery. The road here runs from Butterleigh to Silverton and once formed part of the highway between Tiverton and Exeter until a new turnpike was built in the 18th century, bypassing Butterleigh and latterly Silverton too
