Barker Street is a tiny covered cobbled street which leads to the West Brompton Royal Mail sorting office. The health and safety sign is there as the vans entering Fulham Road are particularly hazardous. The road apparently led to Palmer-Verney House which was built in 1650 and demolished in 1962.
