Entrance to the garden / arboretum. The arboretum was founded in 1963 by Edward Beale, who took over a 10 acre field which had been let to a tenant farmer. An ambitious programme of tree planting was commenced, with more trees and shrubs being added. There are presently over 500 different varieties. http://www.bealeshotels.co.uk/westlodgepark/
