It was announced in early December that the famous Woolworth's chain had gone into administration and all their hundreds of branches across the UK were closed by the first week of January 2009. The last day for this one – see Image – was 27 December. Nevertheless, three weeks on it still seems to be generating an electricity bill as the signboard lights defiantly shine on. Meanwhile, a car turns left into Cardigan Road.
