On Christmas Eve 2008 the roof of this building was destroyed by a fire, believed to be arson. Fortunately the pub was empty - it had been closed for about 4 years and was already scheduled for demolition. The Prince of Wales opened in the mid 19th century. Information update : the pub was demolished in 2009, not long after this photo was taken.
