The 'road' bridge has been there for years ... the footbridge is probably to comply with some Health & Safety dictate ... and why not! At this point the River Loxley only has a few more yards - or even metres - to flow before it merges with the River Don. The bridges lead to Doncasters Forgings and Sandvik Medical Solutions premises. Image Image
