This large and dramatic statue of the great Scottish patriot, Sir William Wallace,c.1270-1305, was sculpted by W.B. Stevenson (1849-1919), and placed in a commanding situation opposite His Majesty's Theatre and can be seen from afar. It was cast in bronze and stands on a plinth of Corrennie granite.
