This part of Highcliffe was originally called "Slop Pond"; incomers objected to the name, and it was imaginatively renamed "Newtown", and later "Highcliffe".http://www.natula.co.uk/Book_PortraitOfHighcliffe.htm That was of course years before the establishment of this holiday park; for more information, visit http://www.cobbsholidaypark.co.uk/
