Virtually the whole of Lewes from east to west can be seen in this view taken from close to the South Downs Way at Itford Hill. The Norman keep of Lewes Castle can be seen dominating the town in the centre of the view. County Hall, the home of East Sussex County Council are the modern buildings on the left and behind is the hill, Mount Harry. The River Ouse can be seen in two places on the right of the view.
