This was an attempt to imitate the view in "Gloucester, Eastgate Street 1931" in the Frith collection http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/gloucestershire/gloucester/photos/gloucester_83828.htm - but apart from old St Michael's Tower at The Cross in the distance, you wouldn't recognise it.
