In The Ghyll looking north just above Coronation Woods on the footpath, seen on the left. A further 300m north you would find the road bridge (St Helen's Road) crossing over at a height of 15m. Because of the depth below road level there appears to be a microclimate giving a good two degrees drop in temperature which together with the wet and moisture gives rise to plentiful and varied vegetation.
