Formerly the eastern most limit of the town until the late 18th century and a commercial thoroughfare by the early 19th century serving the large houses on the Old Steine. The pub on the right is the Fishbowl renamed in the 1990s from the Greyhound which had been the name since the mid 18th century. Prior to that it was the Blue Anchor established in 1685. Taken from the junction with Kings Road.
