Cippenham: Deerwood Park pond

There was a sufficient flow of water through the pond along the brook either side of it that prevented it from icing over on this day when temperatures barely got up above freezing. There must be fish in the brook because a kingfisher whirred its way past in a flash of incandescent blue moments after this photograph was taken.
