An 18th century house with a stone over the doorway carved with the date 1700. A series of initials belong to the Richards family who provided John Wesley with a room here to hold services for the local community. The building to its right was the former coaching station, used by the stage-coach from Newcastle, and later as a garage. It was converted in 1989 to a showroom for a local kitchen and bathroom business.
