Position of bridge on this image can be detected from rows of posts either side of the A4500. The brook flowing under the bridge serves as the parish boundary between Ecton and Earls Barton and, as the line of the boundary follows the brook for a considerable distance, it is likely that this boundary has remained unchanged for a long time.
