Under construction. The station combines gas and steam turbines to generate 824 MW at 58% efficiency; it will cost £380m to build, see http://www.marchwoodpower.com . The blue notice says "National Grid Marchwood Substation". The building on the left probably contains gas insulated switchgear. That on the right is probably the main turbine building. Beyond is the silver dome of the unrelatede Marchwood Incinerator. East Road is in the foreground.
