The original pub at this location was a different building entirely - an old thatched building. The pub, and two other nearby buildings, were burnt down by an arsonist (circa 1960s-70s). The building was replaced by a 'tin shack', which served as a pub. The tin shack was gradually extended and extended, and grew to become the present building. It has very interestingly decorated toilets!
