Situated in a quiet back street near the Guildhall Image, The Angel is listed in the 2009 Good Beer Guide. Centre bar, eating & drinking areas around three sides. Fittings all light wood. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Ringwood Best, Fortyniner, Old Thumper & Porter; Bank's Original (from Wolverhampton; Midlanders would cringe at paying £2.90 a pint).
