Not the most attractive of buildings... To quote from its website - Torbay’s indoor sporting and leisure facility was built in three phases, starting with Torbay Pool in 1976, the Squash courts were added in 1980 and the Sports Hall, Fitness Suite and Catering facilities were introduced in 1984. Since winning the 20 year contract to operate Torbay Leisure Centre, Parkwood Leisure have made a number of improvements including the introduction of Bumper’s Backyard (children’s soft play area) and a lower floor Café Bar, an extension to the existing Fitness Gym and in 2002 the refurbishment of the All-weather Pitch.
