Clark's Brewery - Back Lane entrance

Founded as a tower brewery in 1906, H.B.Clark & Co Ltd. brewed on and off for the free trade until 1960. In the 60s and 70s, it was just a drinks distributor, but a small new brewhouse was built in the yard, brewing cask ale only, in 1980-82. Clarks now have 4 tied houses whose names usually play upon the Henry Boon Clark who was the original H.B. See Image
