This façade dates from 1901, according to the date picked out in blue in the gable (for close-up, see Image). The premises, then 68-70 Old Christchurch Road, were J.J. Allen's house furnishers according to the 1973 Kelly's Directory; it was turned into this shopping centre about 20 years ago and was called the Quadrant Centre until very recently, when the name St. Peter’s Quarter has appeared.
