Taken from Ivors Lane with Offham Hill providing the backdrop. The original Lewes-Uckfield line ran along the line of trees to the right joining the Lewes-Wivelsfield branch to the west of the bridge in the distance on the left. This section opened in 1858 and was replaced by another ten years later. That line closed in 1969 though there have been periodic attempts to reopen it and should that happen this section will be reused again.
