This footpath is the course of the old Montgomery Canal and also forms part of the Severn Way and National Cycle Route 81. The footbridge in the distance links the Pump House http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1090978 with Canal Road. The top floors of the houses on the left front onto Canal Road. The River Severn is just visible on the right.
