The concrete station name sign is a product of the M&GN works at Melton Constable and is one of only a few (perhaps the only one) still in existence. William Marriott of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway manufactured ferro-concrete fence posts, and from 1915 signal posts, at Melton Constable.
