Goddard Hall pre-dates the Sheffield Union Workhouse and (I believe) some of its grounds were bought to build the Workhouse on. In the 1880's it was used as part of the Children's Homes complex to the south of the main site - but still within the Boundary Walls. At one stage it was used for training some of the boys in tailoring. Image
