When approaching this, I firstly thought that it was a Trig Point. That is obviously not the case as closer inspection shows it has a tube projecting upwards, I then thought that it may be a flagpole base. Afternote: With thanks to Richard Greenwood who informed me that the object was a plinth for displaying one of the Australian developed Jindivik drone target aircraft which were launched from Llanbedr when it was operational. A Jindivik is shown on the Wiki page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jindivik#Images. Rather interestingly, BBC Wales featured the airfield a few days after I took the picture, in a story about its redevelopment.
