One of several backstreets of terraces that drop down the hillside at Torre in the area between East Street (foreground) and Belgrave Road. The building on the corner, which dates from 1860, used to be the Railway Inn, one of those pubs that always seems to be completely deserted when I patronised it (which I fear I did very infrequently). It has now been turned into flats, like rather a lot of other former pubs in Torquay.
