On the morning of Saturday 8th December 1990, a heavy localised snowfall accompanied by strong winds caused chaos on the roads in the area. Here, as the snow ceases, pedestrians are following the vehicle tracks down Broad Lane. Just visible beyond them is the glow of the traffic light at the junction with Glendower Avenue.
