Situated in Barn Street just below the turning to Fountain Row. The terrace was built by Richard Francis who was a property developer as well as a postmaster! It was opened in the 1860's by Richard's son Caleb who was there until at least 1874. In 1920 a Mrs Staley, daughter of James and Sarah Ambrey of the Bellevue was fined £1 for serving out of hours. It lost its licence in 1921 due to the 'disorderly' way in which the pub was run!
