Drighlington Crossroads

An important historical crossroads, which armies used during the Battle of Adwalton Moor in 1643. In more recent times, it was the intersection of the Doncaster Wakefield Kendal Trunk Road A650 with the Manchester Halifax Leeds Trunk Road A58, before the advent of the 20th century motorway network.
