A mass of starlings dive into a conifer plantation, almost like a twister becoming grounded, to roost for the night. This is the end of a 20 minute aerobatic display by over 1 million starlings that takes place in the winter months near Gretna. Although taken in poor lighting conditions, it still conveys the wonder of this amazing natural phenomenon.
