I think this is a rare photograph. This site was in the middle of nowhere and a bit of a trek to find. Others photographed the remains of the steam pump here but I'm not sure I've seen a photograph of the buildings in print. I suspect the pump was buried in situ and the site landscaped over. When seen it was providing drainage for nearby pits using electric pumps. A Lancashire boiler had been converted to a water tank.
