This Common Spotted Orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) was in Grays Chalk Pit (now rather ostentatiously renamed Grays Gorge). The worked out quarry is part of the Chafford Gorges Nature reserve owned by Essex Wildlife Trust See http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/chafford_gorges/
