In 1966 this church was in such a state of disrepair that it was declared to be unsafe. The Parish had to make a difficult choice between rebuilding the more recent church in the village of Upleadon or restoring this ancient church. Thankfully they chose the later option and today it is a lovely well cared for building - a light, airy haven of spiritual tranquillity and peace.
