The Industrial Estate was developed by Liverpool Corporation post-WW2 using the site, and many of the buildings from the wartime Kirkby Ordnance Factory. This office building on Charleywood Road looks as if it dates from that 1950s development, rather than 1938/9 Ministry buildings.
