This church building has had various incarnations (I shall probably get into trouble for using that word) but the building itself has been a permanent feature since about 1920 on Oxford Road between its junctions with Wantage Road and Wilson Road. Route 17 is Reading's most popular and busy bus route. It runs 24 hours a day now, and every 5-6 minutes at the busiest times, using a modern fleet of bio-fuel powered buses.
