The driveway in the foreground leads not only to the garages but also passes under the disused railway to a factory entrance, from there is an access path to the Greenway. Pyenot Gardens is an estate of bungalows, and beyond it is a forest of chimneys on terrace houses (in SE1925) built for the workers in the nearby mills, some of which can be seen beyond. The semi-rural hillside in the background is in Gomersal, the church of which is on the horizon.
