The former Mission Hall is now being used as a manufacturing unit for Traditional Joinery. Low down around the walls are a number of stones plaques with inscriptions such as ... James W Lee, Penistone Road Mission : Mr A Simpkin, Lay Preachers Association : Mr W Turton, Townhead St Trustee : Mrs A E Bowles, Sheffield : Mrs S Sharp, Morley : Mr J Wolfenden, Morecambe. Presumably these people were benefactors and / or trustees of the mission. Shame most of them have been graffitified! Image Image
