This image seems to show up the colour differences, mentioned in the previous post, a little more markedly. I travelled on the section Mottingham - London Bridge, and v.v, on several occasions and couldn't understand why we didn't always seem to pass through this station. When I got home, to N.Z., I studied a map and was soon able to put my mind at rest - I wasn't going to sleep at the critical times, after all - there is a line which by-passes Lewisham Station and, presumably, especially at Peak times, some services took the by-pass. Easy when you know how/why.
