One of dozens of tower blocks that dot the landscape around the docklands rears up behind the parabolically curving roof of the comparatively new Canary Wharf LUL (London Underground) station on the extended Jubilee Line completed in 1999. This station should not be confused with the Docklands Light Railway station of the same name which is some 150m away, as is the Heron Quays DLR station too.
