The North Esk in Midlothian was home to many paper mills. The Dalmore in Auchendinny is still going strong. Since the visit, it has closed and is now (Dec 2007) flattened, just like all the other mills on Midlothian waterways. Awaiting redevelopment. 2011 - site still derelict, almost all buildings removed.
