The large puddle seen in the foreground is due to recent heavy rainfalls. There are several interconnected pastures beside the unnamed stream which meanders alongside the woodland edge seen at right, and the many imprints of horses' hooves as well as numerous heaps of horse dung indicate that these pastures are populated by horses.
