The Bittern line, from Norwich to Sheringham via Cromer survived the Beeching cuts, now a very popular line and voted as one of the best 50 railway journeys in the World, joining the Settle to Carlisle. This part, from Sheringham to Cromer is the Last part of M&GN railway on the National network
