Much work has been done removing trees from the banks of this river and of the River Monnow which this issues into. Tree removal is done to help produce the right conditions for vegetation to grow in the rivers so that in future the 'lost' fish will return to inhabit these rivers. However, there is a wonderful wild bit of river here with plenty of trees. I hope that this section will forever be spared from the chainsaw!
